Do you know how these high school football rankings work?

High school football rankings tell us how well high school teams are doing in a season. They use a few important things to decide who’s the best. First, they look at how many games a team has won and lost. Winning more games and losing less makes a team rank higher. It’s like keeping score in a game. If you win against strong teams, it makes your ranking even better.

How a team performs in all their games matters too. If they do great in every game, it helps their ranking. It’s about being good in every game, not just one lucky win. When it’s playoff or championship time, doing well there can boost a team’s ranking a lot. It’s like getting extra credit for being awesome when it matters most.

Some rankings also check how many points a team scores and how many points they let the other team score. If a team scores a lot and doesn’t allow many points, it makes them look strong. Experts like coaches and sports journalists might also share their opinions, and this can affect the rankings. And sometimes, a team’s past performance matters. If they’ve been good before, they might start with a higher ranking.

Remember, rankings can be different in various places, like regions or states. In the end, these rankings show us which high school football teams had the best season.
