The team that has won the championship in Alabama’s biggest division four times, Thompson, is going to have a big challenge on Thursday. They will play against a really strong team, IMG Academy, from Florida. Right now, the Warriors from Thompson are number 1 in Alabama and 16th in the list of the best teams in the country. But IMG Academy is even higher, ranked 4th in the nation.
The best eight teams from the beginning of the season are still in the top spots in the list of the best teams in Alabama.
Last weekend, the second-ranked team, Central (Phenix City), won against the fifth-ranked team, Hewitt-Trussville. The third-ranked team, Auburn, also won against the sixth-ranked team, Hoover, to start the season.
This week, there are two new teams in the top 10 list for Alabama. Baker is now number 9 after beating the team that was 9th before, Theodore. And Ramsey is now number 10 in the list.
